We are the source for kayaking information for the Pacific Coast and beyond. Wavelength Magazine is printed four times per year and available FREE at locations across British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest, including everywhere from California and as far west as Toronto. We are published by Wild Coast Publishing in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. > About us.

About our website

Because we are a free magazine we are able to make our articles available online. This means 17 years of quality writing, photography and expertise on just about every topic related to kayaking imaginable can be made available online. So whether you want to learn about the basics of kayaking, advanced techniques or places to explore, we are your source.If you're interested in new paddling locations, just click on the "Paddle the World" tab to the left. If you are looking for specific information about skills, whether a beginner or a pro, click on the "Paddling Skills" tab to the left. In both of these you'll find a wealth of information drawn from our inventory of 17 years of publishing.

If you're looking for more specific information, nothing beats books. We've got those too. Visit our "Wavelength Bookstore" tab to browse our selection of fine titles. You might even recognize some written by Wavelength editor John Kimantas.
