2This photo was taken at the Falls of Lora, a rare sea waterfall about 5 miles from Oban on the west coast of Scotland. The falls increase as the water from 15 mile long Loch Etive pours out beneath Connel Bridge over rock ledges to the sea.

Spring tides of over 3 metres, occuring twice every month, offer the best sport when the action lasts for the duration of the out flowing tide, building up steadily as the flow increases. Various waves, holes and whirlpools appear, change form and disappear throughout the tide-run and there are plenty of individual spots to play in at varying levels of difficulty.
